Is bad grammar getting in the way of your communication?

There’s a good chance I’ll miss your point if you use an apostrophe in a plural or tell me that your heart literally jumped out of your chest. I’ll be too busy rolling my eyes to pay attention to what you’re saying.

I know it’s not cool to admit this, but since people pay me to write for them, it’s probably just as well that I’m picky.

But I’m definitely not alone;13 million people have watched this “Word Crimes” video in two weeks and I thought you might like to see it too. Even if you’re not a Grammar Nazi like me, it should at least make you smilie,

Let me know what you think, and if you like it, please share it.

Loved this skit, However, I still prefer to use the Oxford Comma!

This is awesome, Ann! I spotted a 1st for Women print ad a few months ago that used “less men” instead “fewer men”. As a member of their target audience, I found it insulting that firstly, they don’t care enough to string a proper sentence together when speaking to me and secondly, that they’re irresponsibly okay with putting out sloppy messages. I blasted the ad agency and like to think that, in my fairy fly world, the reason I didn’t receive a response is because they were mortified.
